MARKSHOT / LEGAL

MarkShot Privacy policy

Effective date: October 26, 2026

Summary

MarkShot does not collect, store, sell or transmit any personal data. It has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and the app has no network access.

What stays on your Mac

Screenshots, images you add from the clipboard, numbered notes and prompts are processed only on your Mac. Text recognition (OCR) runs on your device with Apple's built-in Vision framework, only when you ask for it.

Anything you copy or save stays on your clipboard and in the folder you choose. Bejinji has no access to it.

Permissions and settings

Capturing your screen requires the macOS Screen Recording permission, which MarkShot uses only when you start a capture. App settings, such as your save folder and whether to open at login, are stored in the app's preferences on your Mac.

Sharing with AI apps and other services

MarkShot never calls an AI model or sends your results anywhere on its own. When you paste images or text into another app or service, that service's privacy policy applies.

Blur is a visual effect. It is not guaranteed to remove sensitive information irreversibly, so please review your result before sharing it.

Children's privacy

MarkShot does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version and its effective date on this page. If a change would mean the app collects data, we will post it here before it takes effect.

This website

This policy covers the MarkShot app. For how app.bejinji.com handles data, see the website privacy notice.
